New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. On occasion the museum will be closed for maintenance or private events.
Although Lyon Air Museum is staffed with volunteer
docents during regular hours of operation, we require prior arrangements
be made for groups of 10 or more people. This enables us to verify
the type of group and provide an appropriate guide for a structured
tour. Tours are led by volunteer docents and generally take about an
hour, but vary based on group interest.

We are located On the west side Of John Wayne Airport In Orange County, CA
405 Freeway South, Exit Bristol South to Baker, about three blocks, and turn left on Baker. Continue East on Baker to the end. Crossing Airway Avenue, Baker becomes Ike Jones Road, which jogs around ROAD CLOSED signs. Follow Ike Jones Road to the end to arrive at Lyon Air Museum.
From 55 Freeway South, Exit Baker and turn left. Continue East on Baker to the end. Crossing Airway Avenue, Baker becomes Ike Jones Road, which jogs around ROAD CLOSED signs. Follow Ike Jones Road to the end to arrive at Lyon Air Museum.
405 North, Take 55 Freeway South to the first Exit at Baker. Turn Left on Baker. Continue East on Baker to the end. Crossing Airway Avenue, Baker becomes Ike Jones Road, which jogs around ROAD CLOSED signs. Follow Ike Jones Road to the end to arrive at Lyon Air Museum.
73 Toll Road North, Take 55 North and exit on Baker. Turn Right on Baker. Continue East on Baker to the end. Crossing Airway Avenue, Baker becomes Ike Jones Road, which jogs around ROAD CLOSED signs. Follow Ike Jones Road to the end to arrive at Lyon Air Museum.
Turn right onto Campus. Continue South on Campus to Bristol. Turn Right on Bristol and continue west to Redhill. Turn Right on Redhill, then Right on Baker. Continue East on Baker to the end. Crossing Airway Avenue, Baker becomes Ike Jones Road, which jogs around ROAD CLOSED signs. Follow Ike Jones Road to the end to arrive at Lyon Air Museum.
